Invitation of Russian Prime Minister for the Chief Executive to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit

Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chief executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan today met with Alexander Mantytskiy, Ambassador of Russian Federation to Kabul.

During the meeting, Mr. Mantytskiy offered Russian Prime Minister’s invitation letter for Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive of Afghanistan to attend Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.

The Russian Ambassador noted of awarding scholarship to the Afghan government on various fields and said that his country is ready to cooperate with the Afghan government and people in different sections.

Then, the Chief Executive, while accepting the invitation of the Russian Prime Minister to attend SCO Summit, emphasized on the expansion of cooperation between Kabul and Moscow.

Also, Dr. Abdullah stressed on the two countries’ joint fight against terrorists and terrorism, which is the common enemy of the countries in the region.

The Chief Executive called on Russia to cooperate with the National Unity Government on disaster management and the Russian Ambassador announced his country's readiness in this regard.
