Participation of the Chief Executive at the Commemoration Ceremony of the Anniversary of Canadian Confederation in Kabul

Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan attended the commemoration ceremony of the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation and the movie display of "Hyena Road".

The Chief Executive, in a short speech, called Canada a model society in the international community, given its socio-cultural diversity and the safeguarding of democratic values.

Dr. Abdullah praised Canada’s assistance to the Afghan people and the government in recent years, as well as its commitments over 400 million dollars at the Brussels and Warsaw Conference to Afghanistan.

Pointing to his visit to Canada and participation of high-ranking Afghan delegation at Halifax International Security Forum, the Chief Executive said relations between the two countries would be further expanded.
