The Chief Executive Met with Board of Directors and Representatives of Ghadir Company

Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met with the board of directors and representatives of Iranian Ghadir Investment Company, while Mr. Mohammad Reza Bahrami, ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran was also present.

Eng. Mahdi Motawallyan, a member of the board of directors of Ghadir Power and Energy Holding reported on the contracts and plans of the company in the production and export of energy, in agreement with Breshna Company and Afghanistan’s Ministry of Energy and Water, as well as the progress of the company in the implementation of the signed agreements.

Eng. Motawallyan said Ghadir Investment Company with its subsets is one of the largest companies in Iran. He said the Company is investing about $ 610 million under an agreement with Afghanistan to send electricity, build electricity lines and build a gas company in Afghanistan.

Welcoming and appreciating the investment and efforts of Ghadir Company in energy sector in Afghanistan, the Chief Executive emphasized that Afghanistan is ready to take advantage of Ghadir Company’s experience in energy sector in accordance with the requirements of Afghanistan. The Chief Executive promised that, in order to facilitate work and activities of Ghadir Company in Afghanistan, he would direct the relevant institutions not to hesitate spare any kind of cooperation.
