The Chief executive Met with the US Ambassador to Kabul

The Chief executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with John Bass, the US ambassador in his office at the Sepidar Palace.

At the meeting, the two sides evaluated visit of the UN Security Council's delegation to Kabul positively and constructively, and expressed hope about the results and outcomes of the delegation's visit.

Also, the Chief executive and the US ambassador discussed the Covenant of New Cooperation between Kabul and Washington.

The ambassador to the United States expressed his satisfaction with selection of a new commissioner and expressed hope to speed up preparations for the next election with the Independent Election Commission (IEC).

During the meeting, they expressed hope about the outcomes of the next UN Security Council’s session on Afghanistan in which the Afghan Foreign Minister and Permanent Representative of Afghanistan in the United Nations will attend.

Meanwhile, Dr. Abdullah and Mr. Bass spoke about preparations for a possible return of refugees.a
