The Chief Executive met with the Head of Iran's Strategic Council on Foreign Relations

The Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with the head of Iran's Strategic Council on Foreign Relations in Kabul.

At the meeting, the Chief Executive welcomed the Iranian delegation to Kabul, and congratulated New Year to Iran’s Supreme leader and its people.

The Chief Executive called relations between the two countries good and called for further expansion of relations in various fields.

Then, Dr. Sayed Kamal Kharrazi, head of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran, conveyed congratulatory message of the leadership and people of Iran on the occasion of New Year to the people and leadership of the Afghan government, saying that Iran would support the peace process led and owned by the Afghans.

The two sides further discussed on expansion of bilateral relations between the two countries, especially economic cooperation, balanced exports and imports, optimal use of Chabahar port, implementation of major regional interconnection projects, joint cooperation for combating terrorism as well as economy crimes.
