The Chief Executive Meets with the US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction

Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met with John Sopko, US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction in his office at the Sepidar Palace.

During the meeting, John Sopko presented his latest report on development of the private sector in Afghanistan to the Chief Executive.

The report provides suggestions and solutions on challenges as well as opportunities of the private sector in Afghanistan.

The Chief Executive thanked the efforts of the Special Inspector General of the United States and his team in Afghanistan.

Dr. Abdullah presented his views and suggestions on fighting corruption, better governance and reform, saying that anti-corruption is one of our priorities.

The two sides also discussed about effective anti-corruption efforts and reforms in civil service institutions.
