The Chief Executive Meets with UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan

Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met today with Mr. Tadamichi Yamamoto, Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Afghanistan at the Sepidar Palace.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed parliamentary election, Geneva conference on Afghanistan and peace talks.

Praising positive role of the United Nations, the Chief Executive stressed that the government did not hesitate any efforts to hold a transparent and credible election. The Chief Executive expressed hope that public participation in the election would consolidate foundations of democracy and stability in the country.
