Iran's Foreign Minister, in a Meeting with the Chief Executive: Iran Stands along with the Afghan People and Continues its Cooperation with Afghanistan

Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met with Iranian Foreign Minister, Dr. Javad Zarif at his residence in Geneva.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed Geneva Conference on Afghanistan, bilateral relations, political-security developments in the region, Iran-Afghanistan joint cooperation, holding elections as well as relations among regional countries.

Dr. Zarif assured of his country's continued cooperation and support from Afghanistan, and called his attendance at the conference a sign of friendship between the two countries.

The Chief Executive thanked Iran for its support from Afghanistan and stressed on continued relations and close cooperation with Afghanistan in order to overcome regional problems and make use of existing opportunities.
