The Chief Executive Bids Farewell to British Ambassador to Kabul

Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan today met with Nikolas Kay, British Ambassador to Kabul.

First, the Chief Executive praised Mr. Kay's efforts to improve relations between the two countries during his mission in Afghanistan.

The Chief Executive called Britain a close friend and one of trusted allies of Afghanistan and thanked Britain for its contributions to the government and the people of Afghanistan in recent years.

The Chief Executive wished Mr. Kay success in his new mission and hoped that relations between the two countries would develop and improve in the future.

Thanking the Chief Executive, Mr. Kay called Afghanistan one of the old friends and partners of the UK and reassured of his country's aid to Afghanistan. Mr. Kay called his tenure in Afghanistan to be lasting and worthwhile.
