India and Afghanistan Continue To Work Together and In Partnership

 

Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with Mr. Rajnath Singh, Minister of Defense of the Republic of India, on the sidelines of the 18th Summit of the Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.

At the meeting, the Indian Defense Minister congratulated the Chief Executive and the Afghan people on the successful run-up to the Presidential Election, and called the relations between the two countries good and historic. Minister Rajnath Singh assured of continued cooperation between the two countries.

Chief Executive Abdullah thanked India for its assistance to Afghanistan in various fields, calling the relations between the two countries historic and based on shared values. The Chief Executive continued to speak about the presidential election and efforts for peace.
