Chief Executive Meets the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan


Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah met with Mr. Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the sidelines of the Summit of the Governments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Tashkent.

At the meeting, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan congratulated the holding of the Afghan presidential elections and expressed hope that these elections would provide permanent peace and stability in Afghanistan. He added that his country is ready to cooperate and work closely with Afghanistan in various fields.

Kazakhstan's Prime Minister spoke about his country's trade in agriculture, industry and mines, saying they are ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in these areas and build the infrastructure.

Further, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah described the relations between the two countries as excellent and said he hopes the two countries' intergovernmental committee would hold its eleventh meeting as soon as possible.

The Chief Executive said Kazakhstan had good experience in mining and infrastructure sector and asked for cooperation in this regard.

The Chief Executive called peace and stability in Afghanistan important to all countries in the region and the world and said that terrorism and narcotics are a common threat to all countries, and that the fight against them needs the regional and international cooperation.
