Germany continues its military and economic Assistance to Afghanistan

Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah met with H.E. Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, Federal Minister of Defense of Germany, at Sapedar Palace in Kabul.

Chief Executive Abdullah welcomed the German Defense Minister to Afghanistan and thanked the Federal Republic of Germany for its assistance in the military and economic sector. He called Germany as close friend and ally of Afghanistan and asked for Germany’s continued presence and assistance to Afghanistan.

The German Minister of Defense thanked the Afghan Government for warm reception calling the relations between the two countries as good and historic. She also expressed satisfaction with the progress made in the country and added that her country would continue its military and economic cooperation with Afghanistan. He described terrorism as a common enemy of both countries, and emphasized that the German Armed Forces are committed to training, supporting and equipping the Afghan forces within the framework of Resolute Support Forces.

At the meeting, the two sides also discussed efforts to achieve peace and presidential elections.
