We Commend China's Extraordinary Efforts to Establish and Control the Coronavirus


Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah Sunday afternoon met with Mr. Wang Yu, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Afghanistan at Sapedar Palace in Kabul.

At the meeting, the Chinese Ambassador thanked the Chief Executive for his sympathy with the victims, the people and the Chinese government over the spread of the Coronavirus and briefed him on his country's efforts to prevent the spread of the disease.

Ambassador Wang Yu said he was pleased that the virus had not spread to Afghanistan, adding that his country is working closely with the Afghan Ministry of Public Health. He also added that his country is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan if the virus is transmitted.

The Chief Executive once again expressed his condolences and sympathy with the victims of the outbreak of the Coronavirus, the Chinese government and people, urging the ambassador to extend his condolences message to the President and Prime Minister of China. He praised the Chinese government and the Communist Party's extraordinary preventive measures to tackle the disease.

The Chief Executive called China and the Chinese people as friends and allies of Afghanistan and praised China's continued cooperation with Afghanistan
