Chief Executive: We Hope That Tensions in the Region Will Ease

In commemoration of the forty-first anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah expressed hope that recent escalation and tensions in the region would abate.

The Chief Executive, congratulating the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said that escalations in the region affect the situation in Afghanistan.

Chief Executive Abdullah thanked the friendly and good-neighborly country of the Islamic Republic of Iran for their cooperation with Afghanistan in the jihad and resistance periods and the new chapter.

The Chief Executive of the National Unity Government cited the growing economic and political ties between the two countries, saying the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran had been a turning point in history.

The Chief Executive said that during the period of NUG’s rule, efforts have been made to maintain and strengthen neighborly and fraternal relations with all countries in the region by maintaining mutual respect.
